What’s a Park Model?
The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) defines a park model RV as “a unique trailer-type RV designed to provide temporary accommodation for recreation, camping or seasonal use.”
Park models comply with strict ANSI housing standards and are no larger than 399 square feet. “Tiny homes” are built with lenient housing standards (or none at all), so park models are often safer and last longer.
They’re built on a single chassis mounted on wheels, but we cover the wheels with underpinnings. Most of our members expand their park models with decks, screened-in porches, or other rooms built to code by licensed contractors.
